Soaring Record Sales - 330 Homes SOLD!

We sold 330 homes in May (which represents over half of our total residential market) making it the best month ever for Kelowna. We are now 15% ahead of last year for numbers of sales YTD and 2006 was our best year ever before now. The inventory is down from last month to a total of 922 homes which is 13% higher than last year.  Our average price is at $472,555 for the month which is 19% higher than last year. The median price is at $438,500. 58% sells between $320-$480 thousand and 156 homes sold equaling 12% between $600,000 to one Million; 3 times more as last year. It takes about 50 days in the average to get a SOLD sign on your lawn. The market is busy and still going up. We are experiencing a lot of activity in the lower price range meaning up to $450,000. The condo market is getting stronger, 210 apartments and townhomes sold last month out of a total of 630 residential units or one third of the total residential market.
