Where were you born?
I was born in Edmonton, Alberta. At the age of 4, my parents decided that if they wanted to move to a different city, now would be the time. So they sold their home in Edmonton and quit real estate to travel North America in a motorhome for 9 months! We travelled across Canada all the way to the east coast, and down through the US to the south. I saw some fascinating sights like a castle with a marching army and live cannon fire, Disney World and one of my favourites, a space shuttle taking off. This likely etched in some desire to travel the rest of the life.
Which languages do you speak?
Growing up, my parents enrolled me in French immersion here in Kelowna. I attended Glenmore Elementary, KLO Middle School, and KSS for high school. When I turned 12, my parents sent me overseas to Germany to live with a family there during the summer months. I went back for many years (I’ve been there about 10 times now) to stay with them, learn German and experience another culture. I now speak English and German, but French is slowly fading.
How long have you been in Real Estate?
I’ve been surrounded by real estate, literally my entire life. At the age of 19 I took my real estate license while attending OUC and taking business with a major in marketing. I obtained my real estate license in 2006, but had been helping the family business for several years before that with their marketing efforts.
What is your favourite part of the Real Estate industry?
Helping people. I absolutely love to help people. I realize that’s a bit of a cliche, but I always feel so proud and fulfilled when I can bring something to the table, give guidance or point out something that my clients overlooked or didn’t think of at all.
What are your achievements in real estate?
When I received my license, I was the youngest realtor in Kelowna and BC, I have also received the RE/MAX Executive Award, have been in the RE/MAX 100% Club since 2007, RE/MAX Platinum Club and inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. I have been featured numerous times in the local newspaper, many real estate magazines, guest speaker at RE/MAX International Convention in Las Vegas, RE/MAX Western Canadian Conferences and many sales rallies.
What are your achievements in life?
Photography and Video, all of which is self-taught simply because of my passion for it. It’s something that I have won many awards for and that also works very really well for helping my real estate clients showcase their homes or see what they are looking to buy. I am also proud of having completed business school with a major in marketing.
What are your favourite hobbies?
Photography, videography, cycling, boating, hiking, and snowboarding.
What is your favourite book?
Lol, that’s a good one. I have a few favourites some of which are by Napoleon Hill and Zig Ziglar.
What has been the best day of your life so far?
I don’t know that I can really pin down a specific day. I have a lot of fun with friends, truly enjoy traveling (and travel photography) and new adventures.
What is the best part of working with your family?
I love working with my family because we can always be candid. There are no worries of stepping on people’s toes and we can easily work together. I feel very fortunate that I can get along with my parents in such a great way, I know not everyone can. It’s easy to bounce ideas off each other and we are always willing to help each other out, no matter what. We have a very strong bond together, and I think that’s one thing that makes us such a great team.
